Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson is set to make her 400 metres Diamond League debut in Rome this Thursday, viewing the sprint as a crucial and enjoyable step to enhance her speed for the 800m.
Strategic Move for Speed
Hodgkinson, who won gold in Paris, believes the 400m race will benefit her 800m performance. She aims to use this outing, previously hindered by injuries, to maintain her unbeaten streak in the 800m this year.
Formidable Competition
She will face a strong line-up including reigning European champion Natalia Bukowiecka and British record holder Amber Anning.
Season Plans
Her season also includes 800m races in Stockholm, Eugene, and London, plus defending her European title in Birmingham.
