Ibiza Final Boss Announces Boxing Debut on Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall Undercard
Social media sensation Ibiza Final Boss, whose real name is Jack Kay, will make his boxing debut this summer against controversial comedian Dapper Laughs. The bout is scheduled for the undercard of the Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall fight in Manchester on June 13.
The TikTok star rose to fame last summer when his unique 'Lego' haircut went viral. A clip of him dancing amassed 20 million views, earning him the nickname 'final boss' of the party island. He claims to have made £1 million in the weeks following his viral success and will now step into the ring.
His opponent, Dapper Laughs—real name Daniel O'Reilly—has rebuilt his career after a 2014 controversy involving a joke about rape. O'Reilly was among the first British stars on the social media platform Vine and had an ITV2 show called On The Pull, which was cancelled after just one series.
No rules for the fight have been announced, but the pair will clash before professional fighter Fury takes on former World's Strongest Man Hall over six two-minute rounds. Kay had previously called out rapper Jordan McCann, with the pair agreeing to a fight earlier this year, but that bout failed to materialise.
Kay was also the subject of a Channel 4 documentary in which he reflected on his newfound fame: "The past five, six weeks, you couldn't write that. It felt like a movie. The world made us famous—I'm the chosen one. Where I'm from is a council estate. Not much happens around there for people like me. People like me don't get the chance to make it to this level. It's like a dream, honest to God."
Also on the undercard in Manchester, Misfits favourite Anthony Taylor will take on Matt Floyd, Swarmz returns against B Dave, and Big Stacks faces Armz. Olympic gold medalist Jade Jones returns for her second fight following a successful debut last month, while Adam Brooks faces Rahim Pardesi and Leah Gotti takes on Lil Bellsy.
