Luke Littler Tribute to Girlfriend After Premier League Darts Win
Littler Thanks Girlfriend After Premier League Victory

Luke Littler has paid tribute to his family and girlfriend for getting him through what he described as "one of the toughest tests" after winning the Premier League for the second time. The 19-year-old beat Luke Humphries 11-10 in a deciding leg on Thursday night, breaking down in tears after securing the victory.

Premier League Triumph

Littler joined the ranks of Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, and Gary Anderson as a multiple winner of the competition. He averaged 111.67 and threw 12 maximums in a superb final against Humphries, claiming the trophy and £350,000 in prize money. However, his journey was not smooth, as the world No. 1 faced booing from crowds following an incident with Gian van Veen in Manchester.

The emotional toll of the 17-week campaign became evident after Littler hit double top to win. Speaking on stage, he revealed that he had told his girlfriend Faith Millar that he wanted to quit due to the booing. After avenging his defeat in the 2025 final to Humphries, he thanked his family and close friends.

Social Media Messages

Littler wrote on Instagram: "This Premier League has been one of the toughest tests for me and wouldn’t have this without everyone by my side. Can’t thank you all enough for that. We did it." In a separate video message, he added: "Hi everyone, what a journey its been throughout the 17 weeks of the Premier League. We've come out victorious once again. I've got the trophy back. A lot of emotions there, but I'm just so happy with the win, the family being there week in, week out, the sponsors being there week in, week out. Time to celebrate and thank everyone for all your support throughout the year and may it continue. I'll see you all next week in Copenhagen."

Faith Millar also shared her support on Instagram, posting a video of Littler's entourage singing along to 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' by John Denver in a hotel bar after the win. Another post, a photo of them kissing before Littler went on stage, was captioned: "So proud of you always and forever. I love you so, so much."

Emotional Interview

In his teary on-stage interview, Littler said: "It was a rollercoaster first four weeks, bottom of the table, but then the fifth night I won my first night. I had to pick myself up, some tough times. I think I had a 79 average in Brighton or something like that and it was tough. But I am here with the trophy." After breaking down in tears, he added: "After Brighton and the incident in Manchester, I was sat at home saying to Faith: 'I don't want to do it anymore, just the crowd every week'. I said to her: 'I'm down bad'."
