Luke Littler Delivers Ruthless Display to Reach Poland Darts Open Last 16
World champion and world number one Luke Littler produced an imperious performance at the Poland Darts Open in Krakow, sweeping past Mike De Decker 6-1 with a match average of almost 114. The teenage sensation showcased both power scoring and clinical finishing, landing three 180s and maintaining a perfect 100 per cent checkout rate on his doubles.
Littler's Statement Victory in Krakow
As one of the top-ranked players granted a first-round bye, Littler wasted no time asserting his dominance against Belgian opponent De Decker. He never looked back after securing an early break, cruising to a comprehensive victory that underlined his status as the sport's premier player.
"I definitely needed to put on a performance," Littler stated in quotes published on the Professional Darts Corporation website. "It has not gone my way in the first three weeks of the Premier League, but I certainly want to be the first winner here in Poland this weekend."
Humphries Survives Tense Decider Against Home Favorite
World number two Luke Humphries endured a much tougher path to the last 16, eventually overcoming a spirited fightback from Polish favorite Krzysztof Ratajski in a dramatic last-leg decider. Humphries appeared in control with a 4-1 lead before Ratajski, buoyed by the enthusiastic home crowd at this inaugural Polish European Tour event, rallied to level the match at 5-5.
The Englishman finally secured victory by taking out 31 on double four, silencing the partisan support and advancing to the next round where he will face Boris Krcmar, who defeated Martin Schindler 6-4.

The Scottish player, whose World Championship ended controversially when he punched a table and injured his hand following a first-round defeat, followed up his opening win over Ritchie Edhouse with a fine display that included 50 per cent accuracy on doubles.
Ross Smith defeated Daryl Gurney 6-1 to set up a tantalizing last-16 clash against Littler, while Wessel Nijman dispatched veteran Gary Anderson 6-2 with a match average just over 103.
Other results saw Jermaine Wattimena come through a last-leg decider against fellow Dutchman Danny Noppert, who missed three match darts, and Chris Dobey coast to a 6-0 victory over Connor Scutt.
