Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has vowed to go 'full John Terry' and celebrate a potential Champions League victory in a full Gunners kit. Mikel Arteta's side take on French giants Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday in Budapest.
The North London side head into the game as Premier League champions, albeit have never won Europe's premier competition before. In the meantime, PSG will be aiming to claim the trophy in back-to-back seasons.
Morgan fully got involved with Arsenal's trophy lift at Selhurst Park, having been spotted celebrating with the players on the pitch. And he has promised to go one better should his side be successful in Europe.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: 'I've had a bit of stick for having the audacity to accept an invitation having paid full price for four tickets two months ago to Selhurst Park for what turned out to be the trophy fun.'
'Then I got invited to the chairman's lounge, had a great time, met all the Arsenal guys and then got invited to go down to pitchside for the trophy lift.'
'If there's an Arsenal fan on God's earth who would have said no in that moment I'd like their name and details please. So as Conor McGregor would say, I apologise for absolutely nothing.'
'If we win the Champions League tomorrow night, I am bringing a full Arsenal kit to Budapest and if we win the Champions League, I'm pulling a full John Terry everybody.'
John Terry famously lifted the Champions League trophy for Chelsea back in 2012 in a full kit, despite having been suspended for the game itself. Morgan has already been forced to speak out over the past few days for his role in Arsenal's title celebrations.
One fan asked on X: 'Why was Piers Morgan & his clan on the pitch at Selhurst? Nowt worse than celebrity fans muscling in on things. Especially one who called for Arteta's head on several occasions in the early years.'
Morgan responded: 'Maybe because I had the foresight to buy 4 tickets at the start of March when I had a feeling it might be a momentous day for the club I've supported for 55 years. As for Arteta, he proved me and a lot of people wrong, and I couldn't be happier about it.'
Another fan then questioned how the broadcaster was able to get Declan Rice's medal around his neck, to which Morgan replied: 'I didn't pay for Declan to run over and put his winner's medal around my neck for a souvenir pic, that's true. But I was thrilled that he did.'
