Melanie Bracewell, host of The Cheap Seats on Channel Ten, has announced her engagement to partner Shaun McCullough. The 31-year-old comedian shared the news on Instagram on Monday, posting photos of the couple celebrating the milestone.
In one image, Bracewell beams while displaying her diamond engagement ring, with McCullough standing behind her. Another shows the pair on a water-based roller coaster, with Bracewell proudly showing off her new jewellery. A short clip captures the couple playfully posing for the camera.
Captioning the post, Bracewell wrote: '15 years of friendship, 5 years of the best relationship of my life. I hope we aren't rushing into this.' She added a nod to their shared past, referencing their roles as Baloo the Bear and Ka the Snake in the 2012 Birkenhead College production of The Jungle Book.
The couple, who have known each other since high school, reconnected in 2020 after discovering each other's Tinder profiles. Bracewell told Woman's Day in March that their relationship began during the pandemic, when they were limited to a 5km radius.
The announcement follows a humorous revelation in May, when Bracewell shared on TikTok that McCullough had missed out on a significant profit from a virtual sticker in the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The item, originally bought for US$12, later soared in value to over US$42,000.
