Tommy Fleetwood Hints at New Endorsement Deal After Nike Split
Fleetwood Teases New Partnership After Nike Deal Ends

British golf star Tommy Fleetwood has strongly hinted that a new endorsement announcement is imminent, following the conclusion of his long-standing partnership with sportswear giant Nike at the end of 2025. The Merseyside professional confirmed in February that his contract with the brand was not being renewed, leaving him as a free agent in the apparel market.

End of an Era with Nike

Fleetwood addressed the conclusion of his Nike partnership during an appearance at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier this year. "Our contract was ending and it just turned out like we sort of didn’t end up in a place where I’m wearing Nike stuff this year," the golfer explained. "Who knows what’s going to happen in the future. But this is cool."

At the time, the 35-year-old suggested he was in no particular rush to secure a new deal, expressing contentment with wearing Pebble Beach clothing during the event. "I feel like I’m a big golf fan. I really like golf stuff, so it’s quite nice to be wearing Pebble Beach clothing," Fleetwood remarked. "I mean, my kids would absolutely love this stuff so I feel pretty lucky to have it on."

Social Media Tease Sparks Speculation

Despite his earlier relaxed stance, speculation about Fleetwood's next move has intensified after he posted a short video on Instagram. The clip shows the golfer examining golf clothing, accompanied by the caption: 'Something new coming…stay tuned!'. This social media tease has fuelled widespread discussion among fans and industry observers about his impending partnership.

The announcement has generated a mixed reception from supporters. "Oh no, I like free agent Tommy" commented one fan, while another humorously suggested he should play in "Full Everton kit" in tribute to the football team he passionately supports.

Potential New Partners Emerge

Considerable speculation has emerged regarding which brand Fleetwood might align with next. Some observers expect him to sign with Lululemon or Sun Day Red, particularly after he was photographed wearing gear from these brands. Others have even speculated that the Southport-born golfer might be preparing to launch his own golf clothing line, capitalising on his market appeal.

In a lighter moment during February, LIV Golf player Ben An playfully suggested Fleetwood might consider wearing gear from his Korean Golf Club team. "Looks like Tommy Fleetwood is a free agent on clothing. Let me know if you want some Korean Golf Club clothes," the Seoul-born star wrote on social media, before adding: "Happy to send you some. Relax, people, it's a joke... maybe."

Maintaining Strong Performance on Course

Despite the off-course developments, Fleetwood continues to demonstrate impressive form in tournament play. Although he recently dropped from third to fourth in the world rankings after Cam Young's victory at The Players Championship, the British golfer has already secured three top-10 finishes in PGA Tour events this season, including tying for eighth place at TPC Sawgrass.

Fleetwood's career reached a significant milestone last year when he claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the Tour Championship, securing a substantial $10 million (£7.5 million) payday. Remarkably, this triumph represented his maiden PGA Tour win despite accumulating millions in career earnings prior to this breakthrough.

Reflecting on that emotional victory, Fleetwood shared: "When you've lost so many times, a three-shot lead down the last doesn't feel like that many. [The fans] are amazing, it makes me a bit emotional. I'm so lucky with the support I get - it's so special and I hope everyone knows how grateful I am for it."

As anticipation builds around Fleetwood's endorsement announcement, the golf world watches closely to see which direction the popular British star will take following his departure from Nike, with his next partnership expected to be revealed imminently.
