A group of Scotland fans, known as the Tartan Army, have gone viral after a hilarious encounter with a self-driving taxi in Miami. The clip, shared on Instagram by American social media user Ryan McGeary, has racked up more than 360,000 views and 20,000 likes, with the caption: "Giving the Tartan Army their first experience with self driving vehicles, they loved it! So much fun!"
Disbelief and Laughter at First Sight
Starting the video, Ryan tells viewers: "This is Scots try automatic taxi, Waymo. A self driving vehicle, here we go." As the driverless car pulls up, the group erupts into laughter. One fan calls the situation "mental," while another jokes: "I’m no in the f**king front, that’s for sure."
Once inside, confusion turns into amusement, with one Scot shouting: "What the f**ks going on here." The group plays music through the car's speakers, including Baccara's "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie," turning the taxi into a singalong.
Reactions to the Experience
When asked what they made of the experience, one Scot said: "Is this the future?" Another asks the non-existent driver: "What time do you finish tonight?" At the end of the ride, the group gives their verdict: "That was so much fun," before chanting "No Waymo, No Party."
The fun continued as the fans took a second self-driving taxi back to South Beach. In the clip, the group runs towards the vehicle, with one hilariously shouting: "Stop ya ba****d" to the absent driver. Another Scot shouts: "I'll sit behind the driver, this time," before getting into the back seat.

One person penned: "You can always count on the Scottish to have a laugh," while an American stated: "Take me back with you guys!! Scotland bound!!"
