Jet2 Urges Passengers to Pack Card to Avoid Flight Delays
Jet2 Tells Passengers to Pack Card to Avoid Delays

Jet2 has advised passengers to carry a physical debit or credit card in their hand luggage to help prevent delays during flights. The airline states that only card payments are accepted for onboard purchases, and contactless options like Apple Pay and Google Pay are available, but a physical card may be needed for chip and PIN transactions.

Onboard Payment Policy

On its website, under the 'onboard service and conduct' section, Jet2 explains: "To make our service as efficient as possible, we only accept card payments." The airline adds: "We've also introduced a few updates to contactless, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. So, please bring your physical card to use chip and PIN when needed." This policy aims to keep service smooth and avoid delays from cash handling.

Other Onboard Rules

Jet2 also reminds passengers of several other conduct regulations. Alcoholic drinks purchased onboard are the only ones permitted for consumption; alcohol brought from outside cannot be consumed during the flight. The airline notes: "Only alcoholic drinks purchased on board may be consumed during the flight. Jet2.com reserves the right to serve alcoholic drinks at our absolute discretion."

Smoking and e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited on all flights, in line with safety laws. Disruptive behaviour is not tolerated; the captain can refuse boarding or take action against anyone considered disruptive, disorderly, or a risk to others. The airline warns: "Anyone falling foul of this provision shall be liable to indemnify us in full against any liability or loss we may suffer as a result. In addition, they may be prevented from flying with us in the future."

Passengers are encouraged to review Jet2's full conduct policy before travelling to ensure a smooth journey.
