This week, a series of product and food recalls have been announced, with customers alerted about potential hazards. The recalls include a popular porridge brand, a batch of burgers, a magnetic game, a counterfeit toy, and a skin cleanser.
Heck has confirmed that a batch of its Minted Lamb Burgers has been removed from shelves due to a packaging error. Certain batches were mistakenly packaged with Heck Steak and Butter Burger, while displaying the Minted Lamb sleeve. Shoppers are urged not to consume them, especially those with an allergy or intolerance to milk.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a warning covering several MOMA porridge products due to potential mouse contamination. The affected items are available at major supermarkets including Waitrose, Ocado, Tesco, and Morrisons. Customers are advised not to consume them and to return them for a full refund.
Kluster (Magnetic Game) from Borderline Editions is being recalled as it contains small, powerful magnets that could pose a health risk if swallowed. The game is stocked in retailers including Asda and Waitrose, and presents a serious safety risk to children.
Mölnlycke Health Care is recalling three batches of Hibiwash, a skin cleanser stocked in Boots and Superdrug, due to contamination with Burkholderia cepacia detected during monitoring. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) stated the risk is low but higher for vulnerable groups such as cystic fibrosis patients.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a recall for a counterfeit Labubu toy, described as a green soft-filled toy with rotating tail, roughly 17cm in height. The OPSS stated that the keyring attachment and right foot can easily detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The products have been withdrawn from sale.
