Aston Villa have announced an open-top bus victory parade through Birmingham city centre on Thursday to celebrate their Europa League final triumph. The club secured their first European trophy in 44 years by defeating Freiburg 3-0 in Istanbul on Wednesday night.
Parade Details
The parade will feature three buses and will commence at 4:30pm from Branston Street in the Jewellery Quarter. The route covers 4.5km through the city centre, allowing fans to join in the celebrations. Birmingham City Council will implement temporary road closures and parking suspensions to facilitate the event.
Historic Victory
This victory marks Villa's first silverware since 1996 and their first continental trophy since the European Cup in 1982. The win also ends a 30-year wait for a major trophy, sparking celebrations among fans and players alike.
Prince William, a known Aston Villa supporter, was in Istanbul on Wednesday to celebrate the historic achievement. He was seen erupting in celebration as Villa scored during the final.
