Georgia Toffolo and James Watt Enjoy Lavish South of France Staycation
Georgia Toffolo's Best Weekend in South of France

Georgia Toffolo has offered fans a glimpse into what she describes as the 'best weekend she's ever had' after indulging in a lavish staycation in the South of France last week. The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, took to Instagram on Tuesday to boast about her plush trip alongside her multi-millionaire husband James Watt, 44.

Luxurious Accommodation and Activities

The couple spared no expense, staying at the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a venue known for its £2,000-a-night rates and celebrity clientele. Georgia shared a series of snaps documenting their jam-packed itinerary, which included caviar lunches and yacht trips. 'I will not be playing it cool about this one. Our weekend looked as good as it felt,' she wrote in her post. 'I actually think it was the best weekend I've ever had. Where's the best place you've ever been to for a quick break? I'm already planning the next one.'

Timing of the Getaway

The trip comes at a significant time for the couple, who tied the knot in Scotland in March 2025. Georgia recently admitted that they 'needed time together more than ever' following a series of controversies surrounding James's former role as CEO of BrewDog. The company faced accusations of creating a 'toxic workplace' before going into administration in March, resulting in 38 bar closures, 484 job losses, and shareholders left empty-handed.

Speaking about the trip, Georgia said: 'We need this time together more than ever, I can't even tell you. We're like two over-excited teenagers to be here and not working.'

James Watt's New Venture: Second Best

Earlier this month, James announced the launch of a new beer brand named Second Best. He expressed a desire to offer nearly 20 per cent of the new company's shares to former BrewDog investors to 'make good' on what he felt was an 'obligation'. Georgia helped spread the word via her Instagram Stories, encouraging former investors to sign up and claim their equity for free.

To avoid heat degradation common in supermarket supply chains, the new beers will leave the canning line at zero degrees and be shipped to customers in insulated boxes, ensuring they never warm above 5°C, as reported by the Times.

BrewDog's Collapse and Aftermath

It was revealed that BrewDog was £500 million in debt when it collapsed into administration, leaving shareholders with worthless Equity Punk shares. The once high-flying craft beer firm owed creditors £553.8 million at the point of its sale, creating an estimated £480 million black hole after its pre-pack rescue deal. The figures underscored the scale of the company's dramatic downfall, with its brewery and 11 bars snapped up by US firm Tilray for just £33 million, alongside the closure of 38 pubs and 484 redundancies.

James, who stepped back from the role of CEO in 2024 amid allegations of a toxic culture within BrewDog, said he would have 'loved to save every single job and every single equity punk investment' but 'couldn't', adding: 'That will stay with me.'

Personal Impact on the Couple

At the start of this month, Georgia spoke on social media about the impact of the stress from BrewDog's collapse on their relationship. The reality TV star revealed that the stress contributed to her five-month struggle to get pregnant. Addressing the fallout, she said: 'I'm sitting here thinking about the year. We've had so much stress. I'm sure you guys have seen it all, public stuff like the BrewDog stuff has been really difficult to navigate...'

She continued: 'And every single family across the world there's always stuff going on. I just think that coinciding with starting to try for a baby it's been a lot for us and we're both very tough and very strong and struggled to acknowledge that it's been a tricky year. On top of my naivety I really did just think that if you're super fit and healthy like us you get pregnant really quickly, but it isn't always the case. Sometimes there's just a lot of stuff going up that's biological - but I think all of it coinciding...'

The couple married in Scotland in March 2025, on a fishing boat just off the coast of Gardenstown in Aberdeenshire. James proposed the previous October with an eight-carat triple-diamond studded band estimated to be worth £200,000, while on holiday in Greece for Georgia's 30th birthday.
