Graham Norton, the beloved Irish broadcaster and author, is stepping into a new role as host of ITV's reality series The Neighbourhood. The 11-part show, set in the Peak District, transforms everyday street life into a high-stakes gameshow where families compete for a £250,000 prize. But away from the cameras, Norton enjoys a quieter life in his native Ireland.

Last year, Norton placed his elegant East London mansion—his home for over two decades—on the market. Listed by Knight Frank for just under £5 million, the four-bedroom townhouse in Wapping boasted arched windows, whitewashed walls, wooden beams, and views of the River Thames. It featured four floors, a patio, private garden, and access to a communal garden. He also reportedly sold his New York property around the same time.
In his memoir So Me, Norton admitted he responds to houses emotionally, making the sale a difficult decision. “We've been thinking about it for a couple of years and I finally feel brave enough to make a huge change,” he told The Sunday Times. He cherished “enjoying a drink sitting by the river on a summer’s evening” at the London home.
While he is believed to still own a London property, Norton's primary retreat is a bolthole in West Cork, Ireland. He grew up in Bandon, Cork, and in 2003 bought a 4,000-square-foot house in the seaside village of Ahakista, overlooking Dunmanus Bay. The home serves as his summer residence and was the venue for his wedding party after he married Jonathan McLeod at nearby Bantry House.
“It is a paradise. I love it,” Norton told The Irish Times. “There is no denying it is a gorgeous part of the world. It is far less exploited than Cornwall or Devon, which are similarly beautiful, but it is so much more remote and unexplored.”
