A British motor oil company has reportedly been targeted by drones in the city of Erbil, the capital of Iraq's Kurdistan region, leading to a massive blaze. This incident follows a recent threat issued by Iran's ambassador to the UK regarding potential strikes on British military bases.
Footage Reveals Extensive Damage at Castrol Facility
Images and reports indicate that plumes of smoke are billowing from a Castrol oil plant located in Erbil after it was struck. The drone attack triggered a large fire at warehouses operated by the Sardar Group on the Erbil–Mosul road, with the blaze engulfing significant quantities of oil and logistical materials.
A company source informed Shafaq News that the drone fell inside the facility, igniting the fire. Emergency services are currently working to bring the situation under control, but the damage is described as extensive due to the highly flammable nature of the stored products.
