Arsenal are set to celebrate their first Premier League title in more than two decades by banking up to £770 million in revenue, having already eclipsed the previous record set by Manchester City.
Title win sparks financial windfall
The Gunners ended a 22-year wait for a domestic title on Tuesday night after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth. Mikel Arteta's side had finished as runners-up in three consecutive seasons prior to this triumph, with City besting them on two occasions.
Arsenal could further supplement their title win with a maiden Champions League triumph as they prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain in the final in Budapest.
However, even if they fall short in Europe, their success this season has already seen them surpass the record financial results previously posted by City.
Revenue details
According to The Times, Arsenal have already guaranteed themselves £760 million due to their title-winning campaign. That figure is significantly higher than the previous £715 million high set by City and may push Arsenal into third place in the world's richest club table, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Gunners recorded revenues of £691 million last year and would profit further should they beat PSG later this month to win the Champions League for the first time.
Such a feat would also guarantee them a spot in the 2029 edition of the Club World Cup, though Arsenal could qualify even if they lose in Budapest, depending on their UEFA coefficient ranking next year. Chelsea earned around £90 million for winning the inaugural edition of the revamped competition last summer.
Arteta set for new contract
Arsenal, who will earn approximately £25 million more from the Premier League this season, are set to reward Arteta with a new contract after the Spaniard ended their agonising title drought.
Mirror Football reported on Wednesday that rewarding Arteta with fresh terms and bolstering the team's attacking options are priorities for the summer, regardless of the Champions League final outcome.
The club are targeting former Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez and also plan to strengthen their left-wing options.
