First $5.95m Apartment Sold in Gold Coast's Pescado

Celebrity DJ Paul Fisher and his wife Chloe have secured the first major sale at their ambitious $50 million luxury apartment development, named Pescado, on Queensland's renowned Gold Coast. The landmark transaction marks a significant milestone for the high-end project, which is rapidly taking shape on the Palm Beach waterfront.

A Waterside Sanctuary Takes Shape

According to a report in The Courier-Mail, a local Gold Coast family is behind the recent off-market purchase, although specific details of the sale remain confidential. The Pescado development, an eight-storey block, will ultimately comprise six expansive full-floor residences and a lavish two-level penthouse. Every residence is designed to maximise the breathtaking, uninterrupted ocean views.

Listings for these deluxe apartments start from $5.95 million, reflecting the premium nature of the offering. Fisher expressed his enthusiasm to the publication, stating, "It's exciting to see the market responding to what will be an iconic development for Palm Beach." He credited the project's strong early momentum to the involvement of local experts, adding, "Drawing on the expertise of local leaders in architecture, sales and construction on Pescado is a major advantage that's now translating into real confidence in what we're delivering here."

Design and Amenities for Luxurious Living

The couple, operating through their development brand YLB Developments, collaborated with BDA Architecture to refine the building's original design. Key improvements included adding an extra basement car park, increasing the space dedicated to owner amenities, enhancing storage solutions, and creating a more functional layout within each apartment.

The residences themselves boast 'house-size' proportions, each featuring a private balcony and a spacious open-plan design that seamlessly integrates with al fresco living areas. Beyond the private apartments, residents will have access to an exclusive BBQ area and a comprehensive wellness space. This dedicated area will include a swimming pool, spa, gym, sauna, and an ice bath.

From Land Acquisition to 2026 Completion

The journey for Pescado began when Fisher strategically acquired two prime beachfront lots. He purchased the first lot in 2020 for $2.1 million, followed by the adjoining property in 2023 for $3.1 million, bringing the total land cost to a substantial $5.2 million. Formal approval for the development was granted in August 2024.

With the first sale now confirmed, a full sales campaign is actively underway for the remaining apartments. Construction is progressing, with the entire development expected to be completed by mid-2026. The sale arrives amidst happy personal news for the Fishers, who recently announced they are expecting their second child, a sibling for their daughter Bobbi, after a well-documented journey with fertility challenges.
