Nicole Kidman Sells Sydney Apartment for $8.5m After Divorce Finalised
Kidman Sells $8.5m Sydney Apartment Post-Divorce

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman has discreetly sold one of her prized Sydney harbourfront apartments, a move that follows the recent finalisation of her divorce from country music star Keith Urban. The sale, which netted a significant profit, marks one of the first tangible steps in untangling the former couple's vast global property empire.

A Lucrative Harbourfront Sale

The three-bedroom apartment in the exclusive Latitude complex in Milsons Point sold for $8.5 million. Property records indicate the buyer was winemaker David Madson. Kidman had purchased the luxury residence on the 15th floor of Lavender Street only two years prior, in 2023, for $7.725 million. Despite the short ownership period, this represents an estimated windfall of $775,000 for the actress.

The mid-2025 transaction went largely unreported, obscured by the intricate web of companies Kidman uses for her property holdings. The apartment is renowned for its sweeping, panoramic views of iconic Sydney landmarks, including the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

Dividing a $282 Million Property Portfolio

This sale comes directly on the heels of the official conclusion of Kidman and Urban's 19-year marriage. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the former power couple had finalised their divorce and agreed to split their staggering global property empire, valued at a whopping $282 million.

Court documents reveal the settlement ensures the division of their real estate assets "to the mutual satisfaction of both parties," with each retaining properties already in their possession. The pair, who wed in 2006, share ownership of much of the portfolio acquired after their marriage.

Their impressive holdings include:

  • No fewer than six apartments in a single high-rise block overlooking Sydney Harbour.
  • A luxurious Manhattan duplex purchased for $13.53 million in 2010.
  • A five-bedroom Beverly Hills home bought for $6.77 million in 2008.
  • A 20-room Nashville mansion snapped up for $4.89 million, also in 2008.
  • A massive 45-hectare estate in Australia's Southern Highlands, now thought to be worth $12 million.

A History of High-Value Acquisitions

The Milsons Point apartment sold was actually Kidman's sixth acquisition in the flashy Landmark Latitude complex. She and Urban first bought into the building in 2009, purchasing a 420-square-metre pad on the 21st floor for close to $6 million. Their spending in the building eventually raised their total tally there to $27.5 million.

Other notable purchases throughout their marriage included a two-bedroom apartment in New York's Tribeca for $5.3 million in 2020 and a 19th-floor apartment in the same Sydney complex in 2011, which Kidman initially used as a home office.

The divorce was initiated by Kidman, 58, who cited irreconcilable differences in a petition filed on September 30. The settlement was reached just three months after she moved to formally end the marriage, which produced two children.

The sale of the Sydney apartment, while a single transaction, provides a clear glimpse into the complex and high-value process of separating the intertwined assets of two of the world's most prominent entertainment figures.
