Influencer Lorna Luxe Embraces New Chapter in £2 Million Rental Home

Social media influencer Lorna Luxe has opened up about feeling "so much happier" in her new £2 million rental property, following an unexpected departure from her previous residence. The 43-year-old content creator, who lived in the famous £2.5 million Ghost House with her late husband John, was forced to vacate that property last year when it suffered significant flooding damage.

A Heartbreaking Turn of Events

The couple had purchased the Warwickshire mansion in 2023 and were enthusiastically planning renovations, including redesigning "his and hers" bathrooms. Tragically, John passed away before they could return to the property, leaving Lorna to navigate the aftermath alone. John had been battling stage four adrenal cancer for several years and died in February in Lorna's arms, following complications from chemotherapy and sepsis.

Lorna's new minimalist home was designed by BPN Architects, the same team behind the Ghost House, creating a comforting continuity for the influencer. She has showcased the modern property on social media, highlighting its glass walls and chic furnishings that fill the space with natural light.

Finding Light in Difficult Times

In a recent Instagram Stories post from inside her new home, Lorna wrote: "It's safe to say I feel so much happier in this home than the last place... all this light is doing my mood the world of good." She later admitted that the move had been "stressful" but expressed relief at being settled, noting that John would have loved the property due to its familiar architectural style.

The influencer explained that she moved with minimal belongings, stating: "We moved in with a suitcase of clothes, a corkscrew and a kettle... I hadn't anticipated having to move out of our last place so this has all been a bit stressful but you know what, John would be so proud that I pulled it off."

Reflections on Life and Future Plans

In her first interview since John's passing, Lorna reflected on their decision not to have children, revealing they had tried early in their marriage when she was 26. When pregnancy didn't occur, she focused on her career, and later considerations were interrupted by John's illness. She recently consulted about freezing her eggs, acknowledging: "I've always been part of a partnership; now I've got these big decisions to make alone."

Ghost House Renovation Challenges

Lorna has faced emotional challenges returning to the Ghost House for renovation progress meetings without her husband. Work on the property is months behind the original six-month timeline, with completion now expected in August. She described the experience as "bittersweet," sharing: "We were both so excited to get back to there. Very bittersweet this."

The influencer fought back tears while discussing the delayed timeline, but remained optimistic: "I think I'm going to get a house back that I'm really happy with. And yeah, be really nice to be home. I'm really missing it now."

Despite the upheaval, Lorna Luxe's journey demonstrates resilience as she creates a new beginning in her light-filled rental home while honoring the memory of her late husband and their shared dreams for their Warwickshire mansion.
