Football fans planning a cruise this summer need not worry about missing the World Cup. Several major cruise lines have confirmed they will screen all matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on 11 June and runs until 19 July across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises
Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises have announced that guests will be able to watch matches on pool decks, in theatres, and at the Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, which will also host football-themed activities. Royal Caribbean is also a host city sponsor for Miami, sponsoring the FIFA Fan Festival Miami at Bayfront Park, featuring live broadcasts, football legends, and entertainment.
Ambassador Cruise Line
Ambassador Cruise Line has secured rights to broadcast every World Cup match on its Ambience and Ambition ships via Sport 24 Special Event Channels. Venue details will be provided in daily programmes, along with match-related events and themed activities.
MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises will screen matches across its entire fleet, including MSC World Europa and MSC World America, on Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries. Games will be shown in sports bars, casinos, poolside LED screens, and lounges, with tournament-themed activities for all ages.
Carnival Corporation Lines
Carnival Corporation brands, including Holland America Line, Princess, P&O Cruises, and Cunard, confirmed that all 104 matches will be available across their fleets. Holland America Line will show games on stateroom televisions and select marquee matches on Lido Pool big screens or the World Stage theatre. P&O Cruises and Cunard passengers can watch in venues like Brodie's or the Golden Lion, with high-profile fixtures in larger spaces such as SkyDome or The Pavilion. Princess Cruises will offer cabin viewing and big-screen matches on Lido Decks, with viewing parties encouraging fans to wear team kits.
Paul Ludlow, president of Carnival UK, said: "Whether guests are holidaying in the Mediterranean, the Norway fjords, or a little closer to home, fans can stay connected with their teams. This is all about combining unforgettable holidays with the shared experience of live sport – bringing people together on board while delivering the quality and comfort that guests expect from our brands."
