Next month, Aldi's latest wooden toy range will hit stores, and it is expected to sell out quickly. The budget supermarket's limited-edition 'specialbuys' have historically flown off the shelves, with past toy launches so popular that shoppers were limited to two toys per child. This new drop, landing on Sunday, 17 May, includes a wooden toy kitchen, easels, a sand pit, and more, all priced under £35.
New for 2026
New to the range this year is a wooden outdoor BBQ (£24.99), complete with barbecuing tools and a grill hood, which can be paired with BBQ food accessories (£9.99), sold separately. Other highlights include a mud kitchen (£34.99) featuring a bread oven, washing up rack, double burner stove top, and utensil holders. A set of mud kitchen accessories (£9.99) includes stainless steel and wooden pots, bowls, a baking set, and a veggie prep set.
Creative Play Options
The range also offers a wooden shop front (£29.99), which can be accessorised with a shop front and role play set (£14.99) that includes items for a coffee shop, florist, village shop, post office, theatre, or vet. Additionally, there is a wooden easel, table and chairs, bookshelf, and a picnic play bench. All items are designed to foster creative play and hobbies.
To secure these toys, shoppers are advised to mark 17 May in their diaries and head to their local Aldi store early, as past launches have seen queues forming in the morning and viral TikTok videos of crowded stores.
