Virgin Atlantic Unveils Revamped Heathrow Clubhouse with Wellness and Cinema
Virgin Atlantic's Heathrow Lounge Gets Wellness and Cinema Makeover

Virgin Atlantic has unveiled a major refurbishment of its exclusive Clubhouse lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3, introducing new wellness features, a cinema, and enhanced VIP areas. This redesign coincides with the lounge's 20th anniversary of operation at the airport, with the first phase now complete and plans for an outdoor roof terrace in the next stage.

New Wellness and Entertainment Features

The revamped lounge, available to Upper Class (business) customers and eligible Delta Air Lines passengers, includes several innovative additions. Two pop-up wellness experiences are currently on offer, featuring three Somadomes—enclosed pods that provide light therapy and sound healing for meditation. Guests can enjoy a complimentary session in these pods until 31 May.

Additionally, Virgin Atlantic has partnered with London-based wellness company Secret Spa to provide treatments such as express massages, facials, and manicures until 30 April. For entertainment, a new cinema area has been installed, along with work pods styled to resemble Virgin Records studios, complete with "on air" signs.

VIP and Relaxation Spaces

The lounge also features a Royal Box, described as a "theatrical take on the VIP experience," which was first launched in Virgin's Los Angeles Clubhouse. This invitation-only space offers uninterrupted runway views and complimentary champagne. The main Gallery area provides a range of seating options tailored for business travellers, groups, and couples.

Juha Jaervinen, Virgin Atlantic's chief customer officer, stated: "The Clubhouse is an iconic part of the Virgin Atlantic experience, and we're proud to be unveiling a bold new chapter at Heathrow. This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment, and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can."

Retained Amenities and Access

Many existing features of the Clubhouse remain, including a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu available in the Brasserie section or elsewhere in the lounge via QR code scanning. Access to the lounge is extended to Delta Air Lines passengers up to three hours before departure, depending on ticket type.

The refurbishment underscores Virgin Atlantic's focus on enhancing the pre-flight experience with unique wellness and entertainment offerings, setting a new standard for airport lounges.
