Urgent Food Recall: Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons

Urgent food recall warnings have been issued for products sold at major UK supermarkets, including Tesco, Waitrose, and Morrisons. Customers are strongly advised not to consume the affected items and to return them to the store for a full refund.

Gü Dessert Recalled from Tesco and Waitrose

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has announced a recall of Gü Double Sea Salted Caramel Frozen Dessert due to incorrect dietary information on the packaging. The product may contain hazelnuts and soya, which are not listed on the label, posing a serious risk to individuals with nut or soya allergies. The affected product has a lot number of 126135 and a best-before date of June 30, 2027. Only a limited number of units are believed to be affected.

An FSA spokesman stated: "Gü is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations. If you have bought the product and have an allergy to hazelnuts or soya, do not eat it. Return it to the store for a full refund, no receipt required." Customers can contact recall@gupuds.com for more information.

A Gü spokesman added: "The issue is limited to a very small number of products, but as a precautionary measure, the affected date code is being recalled. We have strengthened allergen and packing controls."

Morrisons Recalls Cashews Over Glass Fragments

Morrisons has recalled its Savers Cashews (125g packs) due to the potential presence of glass fragments. The affected products have best-before dates of 9 August, 6 September, 26 September, 28 September, and 9 October. Point of sale notices have been displayed in stores.

An FSA spokesman said: "Morrisons is recalling the above product. If you have bought it, do not consume it. Return it to the nearest store for a full refund." A Morrisons spokesman confirmed no other products are affected and apologised for the inconvenience.
