A man has been praised for cleverly dealing with an entitled fellow passenger who spent an entire flight manspreading into his space. The Initial Encounter
Writing on Reddit, the man explained that he was supposed to have a middle seat but found a man already sitting there next to his wife, so he took the aisle seat instead. His own spouse was seated a few rows away. The offending passenger, despite being short at around 5'4", spread his body and legs far beyond his allocated space, taking the entire armrest and several inches of the man's seat. He also placed his foot six inches into the man's legroom and even pinched his thigh under the pretense of adjusting his seatbelt.
A Clever Solution
The man initially tried to push back by positioning his foot on the edge of his seat, but the passenger responded by rubbing his foot against the man's. Disgusted, the man texted his wife, who offered to swap seats. The wife is a 6'4" bearded trans woman with a deep voice, and she planned to play footsie with the offender if he tried the same tactics. The man agreed, placed a blanket between them, and the passenger immediately retreated his foot. However, he then began tapping his foot against the man's, rubbing it up and down.
