Two Dead in Mass Shooting Near Spanish Resort, Baby Among Injured

A mass shooting near the popular Spanish resort of Almerimar has left two people dead and several others injured, including a seven-month-old baby. The incident occurred late last night in El Canalillo, between Balanegra and El Ejido, in the southeastern province of Almeria.

The seven-month-old baby, who was shot twice, is in a 'very serious' condition in the intensive care unit at Torrecardenas University Hospital. An 18-month-old toddler is also being treated in the same unit. The children's mother was taken to Poniente University Hospital in El Ejido with injuries.

The alleged gunman, a 25-year-old believed to be related to some of the victims, initially fled the scene but later handed himself in to police. Local media report that the deceased are the suspect's parents, and the seven-month-old baby is his son.
