Bradley Belhomme, 20, Fights for Life After Zante Crash

Bradley Belhomme, a 20-year-old from Salford, is fighting for his life after a catastrophic quad bike crash on a lads' holiday in Zante, Greece. The incident occurred on Friday, July 3, just one day after he arrived on the island with friends.

Crash Details and Injuries

Bradley was riding a rented quad bike with a friend when they collided with a coach while turning a corner. The friend was also hospitalized. Bradley suffered severe head trauma and was initially treated in Zante before being transferred to a hospital in Athens, where he remains in intensive care in a coma.

His mother, Leanne Rabbetts, told the Manchester Evening News: "He has serious head trauma so he's getting better care there. I flew out on Sunday as soon as I could and have been here every day. We can only spend half an hour with him."

Medical Condition and Family Ordeal

Doctors attempted to bring Bradley out of a coma on Sunday and Monday, but he did not respond and suffered two fits. An MRI scan is needed to assess brain damage. Leanne said: "They don't know if it's a bleed on the brain... but he isn't responding at all at the moment."

The family believes Bradley had travel insurance but cannot confirm details as they lack access to his phone. They have contacted the British Embassy for support. Bradley's uncle, Adam, described the language barrier as a challenge: "Out here there's a huge language barrier... We are like a fish out of water."

Community Support and Fundraising

Friends and the local community have launched fundraising events and a GoFundMe page to cover potential hospital bills. Adam said: "The local community and friends have all donated and have been brilliant. Bradley is a loveable lad... He's a hardworking boy and unfortunately, being young, you often make the wrong choices."

As of now, the family awaits the MRI scan and hopes for Bradley's recovery and eventual return home.
