The BBC's Saturday Kitchen is set to celebrate a major milestone this weekend as the programme marks 20 years since its significant revamp. The cookery show, which initially launched on BBC2 in 2002, underwent a substantial transformation in 2006 when it permanently moved to BBC One with celebrity chef James Martin taking over from Antony Worrall Thompson.
Matt Tebbutt Takes the Reins
After a decade in the role, James Martin departed in 2016 and was succeeded by Matt Tebbutt, who has remained the main host ever since. This weekend, the show commemorates two decades since its overhaul and relocation to BBC One, with hints of a special celebration for viewers.
