Bobby Norris Admits Body Dysmorphia After Facelift

Former TOWIE star Bobby Norris has made a heartbreaking admission as he recovers from a facelift, revealing he believes he 'might have body dysmorphia' after years of filler abuse. The 39-year-old reality star said he 'had to have a facelift' after removing his fillers, explaining that his addiction to filler left him getting top-ups every 12 weeks and caused too much damage for his skin to recover naturally.

Filler Abuse Led to Surgery

Norris, who has always been open about his cosmetic treatments, told The Sun: 'I know people are shocked that I had a facelift before I even turned 40, but I think it's becoming more normal. I'd abused fillers in my cheeks and around my eyes so badly that I'd stretched my skin so much it would never snap back. I had an addiction to filler and I think I might have body dysmorphia.'

He explained that subtle amounts of filler can be dissolved, but no amount of facials or creams could fix the damage. Online trolls, who called him a 'hamster', only intensified his insecurities, prompting him to go under the knife.

Health Scare Before Surgery

Speaking on This Morning on 29 April, Norris candidly said: 'I'm almost correcting my stupidity with the facelift.' He revealed that before the procedure in Turkey, doctors discovered a potential health issue that could have been fatal. 'The lovely doctor said at one point, 'We've got a specialist here. And if it's something he thinks it is, you could be dead in 12 hours',' Norris recalled.

Despite the scare, he maintained his humour, thinking: 'Well, I can't die. I'm going to Sheesh tonight!' He added: 'At my age, you don't expect to hear that. And then I kind of thought, 'Why am I waiting for my 40s to correct something?''

Previous Procedures

Earlier this year, Norris openly discussed his other procedures, including an upper left blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), removal of buccal fat from his cheeks, and lipo under his chin. He stated: 'I'm a completely open book when it comes to things.'

The star's honesty highlights the pressures of social media and the dangers of excessive cosmetic treatments. His story serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of self-care and seeking professional advice before undergoing drastic changes.
