Coleen Rooney appeared radiant as she treated her extended family to what she described as a 'magical' festive day out at the popular attraction LaplandUK. The 39-year-old shared a series of heartwarming photographs from the seasonal excursion on her Instagram this Monday.
A Cosy Family Gathering in a Winter Wonderland
In the posted images, Coleen could be seen beaming with joy alongside her loved ones. The group posed against a variety of cosy, rustic backdrops inside a traditional wooden cabin, fully embracing the Christmas spirit. She was joined by her mother, Colette, her sisters-in-law Carley Smith and Amy Wilkinson, and their children.
Captioning the festive post, Coleen wrote: 'Our favourite place this time of year… so magical and even better it’s now on our doorstep @laplanduk.' She added, 'Thank you for an amazing day.'
Lavish Christmas Display at the Rooney Estate
This family outing comes shortly after reports emerged that Coleen and her husband, former footballer Wayne Rooney, have spent tens of thousands of pounds on an extravagant Christmas lights display at their £20,000,000 Cheshire mansion.
The couple, who moved into the sprawling property three and a half years ago, appear to have enlisted professional help to adorn their home. The mansion, named High Lake Manor and located in the affluent 'Golden Triangle', now features lights lining the roof and porch, as well as covering wreaths, trees, and hedges. The display is said to be so bright it can be seen from aircraft approaching Manchester Airport.
The vast property boasts numerous luxury amenities, including:
- A snooker room and home cinema
- An underground spa and wine cellar
- A stable area with space for 14 horses
- A private football pitch
From Heels to Healing: Coleen's Recent Injury
The festive cheer follows a period of recovery for Coleen. She recently broke her foot after tripping in her heels during a surprise 40th birthday celebration for Wayne in the Cotswolds. The incident occurred at a fancy dress party where Wayne famously dressed as Queen's Freddie Mercury, complete with heels and a leather skirt.
In an ironic twist, while Wayne managed the towering footwear without issue, fashion-conscious Coleen took a tumble in her own heels. She subsequently sported an orthopaedic boot for several months. The boot gained significant public attention as she wore it during the High Court 'Wagatha Christie' libel trial against Rebekah Vardy in May 2022.
Coleen has since shared an X-ray confirming the break and was recently seen having finally ditched the supportive boot. She was spotted leaving the Bank Medispa in Hale Village, Cheshire, stepping out in a casual yet stylish outfit and her £114,829 Overfinch Range Rover Sport.
