Celebrity Christmas Trees Ranked: From Tasteful to Tacky in 2025
Expert Ranks Celebrity Christmas Trees: Best & Worst 2025

When it comes to festive flair, celebrities have the resources to create spectacular Christmas displays. Yet, as an interior design expert's new analysis reveals, having an unlimited budget for baubles doesn't always guarantee a tasteful result. From understated elegance to bewildering extravagance, the Christmas trees of the UK's famous faces have been definitively ranked for 2025.

The Classy Contenders: Understated Elegance Wins

Victoria and David Beckham surprised many with their surprisingly low-key tree. Positioned neatly in a bay window, it was adorned with warm golden lights, ribbons, and earthy baubles, creating a traditional and confident look that was far from the couple's usual bright ensembles. Expert Dilnawaz Khan Trotman of DKT interior design studio praised its understated warmth.

Influencer Molly-Mae Hague, 26, stayed true to her minimalist 'clean girl' aesthetic. Her tree featured a subtle cream colour scheme, sparingly used warm white lights, and matching beige baubles and ribbons that coordinated with her room's decor. The verdict was a chic and easily achievable modern look.

Other stars who earned the tasteful seal of approval include Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews for their classic, family-friendly tree, and Richard E. Grant, 68, whose whimsical, multi-coloured and charmingly lopsided tree was deemed full of joyful personality. Ferne Cotton, 44, also scored highly for her tidy yet personal tree covered in quirky, homemade ornaments.

The Tacky Offenders: When More is Less

At the other end of the spectrum, Gemma Collins, 44, lived up to her flamboyant reputation. Her powder pink tree, laden with huge artificial roses and topped with a massive pastel bow, was branded tacky and disconnected from nostalgic Christmas warmth.

Stacey Dooley, 38, raised eyebrows with not one but two experimental trees. One was a pink and silver sparkly effort, while another was controversially covered with a white veil. The expert criticised the execution as overwhelming and unresolved, suggesting it lost the cosy festive atmosphere.

Despite its heartfelt sentiment, Kelly Osbourne's tree, which featured a tribute to her late father Ozzy, was deemed aesthetically uninspired. The design felt like a mismatched collection rather than a considered display. Similarly, Sophie Ellis-Bextor's busy, multicoloured tree was called visually loud and incohesive.

The Verdict on the Rest

The analysis covered a wide range of celebrity festive efforts. Amanda Holden's maximalist, scarlet-and-gold tree was dismissed as impersonal, like a hotel lobby display. In contrast, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's romantic, darkly lit red-themed tree was praised for its bold and intentional drama.

Katie Piper's small tree in icy blue and sage green tones was noted for its calm, modern feel, while Alex Jones achieved a joyful, traditional family look. Kate and Rio Ferdinand's white and gold tree in Dubai was deemed modern and well-executed.

Finally, Claire Sweeney's heavily decorated tree was seen as classic but un-elevated, whereas Ruth Langsford's professionally helped red, gold, and green tree was declared a timeless success.

The expert's ranking ultimately highlights that at Christmas, whether for celebrities or the public, a clear theme, personal touch, and a sense of warmth often trump sheer opulence when it comes to creating a truly tasteful festive centrepiece.
