Gordon Ramsay Breaks Silence on Adam Peaty Family Feud, Says He and Wife Did 'Nothing Wrong'

Gordon Ramsay has spoken publicly for the first time about the family feud involving his new son-in-law, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, insisting he and his wife Tana have 'done nothing wrong' and treated Peaty's family 'like royalty'. The celebrity chef was a proud father-of-the-bride when his daughter Holly married Peaty at Bath Abbey on December 27.

The wedding took place against the backdrop of a reported fallout between Peaty and his own family, with members claiming they were not invited to Holly's hen do at Soho Farmhouse and subsequently not attending the wedding. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Ramsay expressed his upset over the claims, stating: 'It's just upsetting. It's all self-inflicted from their side, because we've done nothing – none of what you've read: no rudeness, no ignorance – we welcomed them.'

Ramsay detailed how they had sent a chauffeur-driven car for Peaty's family to attend the engagement party and treated them 'like royalty', making the negative press 'very hurtful'. He added that Tana took the situation 'very seriously'. When asked about the possibility of reconciliation, Ramsay said he would consider driving to Nottingham where the Peatys live to 'draw a line in the sand', but noted that the decision for the family not to attend the wedding was 'Adam and Holly's wishes' and that they had to respect that.

Tana Ramsay commented on family fallouts, saying: 'We've had fallouts within my family, there are no winners. I'm so grateful we got through mine and have happy relationships again.' Gordon Ramsay also reflected on the wedding day, describing it as an emotional experience, particularly seeing his daughter transformed into 'this amazing lady'.
