The 42-year-old actress of the medical period drama has not directly confirmed the reason behind their split, but her social media activity has led many to believe that Dan disrespected her.

The couple started dating in February 2025, and by the start of 2026, the property marketing agent had moved into the home she shares with her two children. However, Dan was recently seen moving his items out of Helen's home while she distracted herself by walking her dog. Despite the breakup, Helen performed at the Barbican Theatre for the production of High Society.

How They Met
Helen and Dan met on the celebrity dating app Raya. They shared a Valentine's Day snap in bed together overlooking a beautiful view while on holiday in Cornwall, and a picture at The Waterman Arms in Barnes, south west London. Dan captioned a photo of Helen smiling with a bottle of wine: "Can I get this to go please? #yesyesyes." Dan also accompanied Helen to press events, including the Call The Midwife screening in March and the Radio Times party in January. Dan is a father of two from a previous relationship.
