Jessica Alba: 'Awful and Humiliating' Nude Scene in Fantastic Four
Jessica Alba Regrets 'Humiliating' Fantastic Four Nude Scene

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has candidly described filming a nude scene for the 2005 superhero movie Fantastic Four as an 'awful and very humiliating' experience. The 44-year-old star made the revelation during a public appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

An Uncomfortable Memory

Participating in an 'In Conversation' event hosted by Wendy Mitchell, Alba reflected on the scene where her character, Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), had to strip naked to turn invisible and walk through a crowd. 'I hated that scene when they brought her back on the bridge and she had to be naked on the bridge,' she admitted. The actress, who comes from a conservative background, explained that her personal modesty made the filming particularly difficult. 'It was awful and very humiliating in real life, because I grew up with a pretty conservative family, and I'm a modest person,' she said. 'It was something I was like, 'Oh, no, not this'.'

Alba confessed that the discomfort lingered long after filming wrapped. 'I regretted that scene for weeks,' she revealed. In a lighter moment, she contrasted the nude scene with the film's action sequences, noting that 'getting ricocheted back into the wall, getting blasted, that was always fun, that was fun back then.' She humorously added, 'But now, thank you I don't want to get whiplash.'

Fantastic Four: A 20-Year Legacy

The film, released nearly two decades ago, follows scientist Reed Richards, astronaut Ben Grimm, and siblings Sue and Johnny Storm, who gain extraordinary abilities after exposure to cosmic rays during a space voyage. They transform into Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and The Thing, uniting to thwart their former benefactor, Victor von Doom. The cast also featured a young Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffudd, and Julian McMahon.

Life Beyond the Screen

During her festival appearance, Alba cut a chic figure in an oversized blazer and matching trousers, layered over a crisp white T-shirt and paired with grey heels. Her professional revelations come amid public attention on her personal life. Last month, her boyfriend, actor Danny Ramirez, 33, posted his first public photos with Alba to his Instagram following of 489,000. The images were from the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood, where $19.5 million was raised for the children's charity, on whose board Alba sits.

The couple, linked since summer 2024, made their public debut in October at the Mill Valley Film Festival. Alba is mother to three children – daughters Honor, 17, and Haven, 14, and son Hayes, seven – with her estranged husband, Cash Warren, 46.
