Katie Price has responded to allegations from Gail Porter that she mocked her hair loss, firmly denying the claims and insisting she would never engage in such behaviour. The former glamour model, who rose to fame as Jordan, addressed the issue on her podcast The Katie Price Show after Gail commented on an Instagram post promoting Katie's upcoming documentary Katie: Nothing to Hide.
Gail Porter's Allegations
Gail, a former Top of the Pops presenter, alleged that Katie once introduced her to a boyfriend by saying, 'This is Gail. She used to be pretty when she had hair… Google her. Thanks.' The comment was made on a trailer shared by Sky TV for Katie's tell-all documentary.
Katie's Response
Discussing the incident with her sister Sophie on the podcast, Katie said: 'I've no idea. I'd never mock anyone for not having hair.' She recounted an experience on Big Brother where she gave her wig to a cancer patient who admired it, adding: 'That's one thing I don't do is mock anyone with something like that.' Katie offered an apology to Gail but maintained she does not recall the specific incident.
'She was stunning and she still looks beautiful without hair,' Katie said. 'Not everyone can pull off having no hair or short hair, and I think she's got a really pretty face.' Katie concluded by stating she has no bad feelings toward Gail and always says hello when they meet.
Background
Katie and Gail rose to prominence during the same era in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Gail has been open about her battle with alopecia, which caused her to lose her hair. Katie's denial comes amid other personal drama, including tensions with her husband Lee Andrews over missed flights and public appearances.
