Katie Price's Family Voice Concern Over Her Dramatic Weight Loss
Katie Price's family 'concerned' over her weight loss

The family of Katie Price have reportedly held frank discussions with the reality star due to growing worries about her health and notable weight loss, according to sources close to the situation.

Family's Private Concerns and Public Appearance

Insiders reveal that Katie Price's relatives have engaged in "open, honest conversations" with the 47-year-old about her well-being, including her mental state and recent physical transformation. These talks are said to stem from a place of "love, care and support" and are kept private within the family circle.

The concerns were highlighted earlier this week when the former glamour model attended a launch event in Hertfordshire for Yasmin Oukhellou's new business venture. Katie was seen leaving the party after only 20 minutes, appearing unsteady and supported by two friends. She wore a sheer brown outfit that emphasised her slimmer frame.

A History of Trauma and Health Struggles

Katie Price has been transparent about facing numerous challenges over the years. She has spoken publicly about dealing with depression, body dysmorphia, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD), the latter explored in her Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Trauma and Me.

The star has also faced significant physical health issues. She referenced a past soft tissue cancer (leiomyosarcoma) scare in her finger during her pregnancy with her son Harvey. More recently, she spent ten months in a wheelchair after breaking both feet, followed by gruelling IVF treatments, which she said contributed to weight gain.

Seeking Answers and Embracing Change

Regarding her current weight loss, Price has offered multiple explanations. She has told fans she is undergoing medical tests, stating, "The reason I'm going to the doctors is because I keep losing weight and I don't know why."

Conversely, on the Disruptors podcast with Rob Moore, she attributed the change to a desired return to an athletic physique after recovering from her injuries and stopping IVF. "Yes, I've lost weight. Yes, that's what I've wanted to do," she said, explaining that increased activity like horse riding has helped her shed the pounds gained during her immobile period.

The source close to the family condemned recent sensationalised reports from others, calling them "cruel, hurtful and deeply insensitive." They emphasised that Katie's well-being is the absolute priority and that she is actively working on it with professional support.
