In a surprising turn away from Hollywood norms, Kourtney Kardashian has publicly declared her decision to abandon Botox injections, citing spiritual reasons. The 46-year-old reality star and founder of lifestyle brand Poosh made the revelation during the Thursday, December 18 episode of the Hulu series The Kardashians.
The Spiritual Reason Behind Ditching Injectables
Kardashian explained she has not had Botox for four years, a decision she links to preserving her spiritual awareness. "I haven’t got Botox in four years to keep my third eye open," she stated, referring to the area of the forehead between the eyebrows. In ancient spiritual traditions, the third eye is considered a key energy centre and a gateway to higher consciousness, inner wisdom, and intuition.
Her reasoning puzzled sister Kim Kardashian, who immediately questioned why Kourtney was looking at her when making the statement. Kourtney firmly reiterated, "I’ll never get it again," emphasising her commitment. In contrast, Kim, 45, freely admitted she had received Botox "two nights ago," though she offered a supportive "Good for you" to her older sister.
Clapping Back at Surgery Claims and Past Regrets
This is not the first time Kourtney has addressed public speculation about cosmetic procedures. Back in 2021, she responded to an Instagram troll who accused her of undergoing Botox, a nose job, and a Brazilian butt lift (BBL). The comment suggested her work was simply "extremely natural."
Kourtney's retort was characteristically witty. "No better compliment than a too good to be real kind of compliment. Butt shot and brazilian butt lift, um, thanks. And you were just getting started," she wrote. The star has also expressed regret over a breast augmentation she had at age 22, telling Showbiz Spy in 2011 that she was "so cute before" and had considered having them removed.
Kim's Bar Exam Meltdown Featured in Same Episode
The same episode also featured a highly stressed Kim Kardashian preparing for the California bar exam, which she ultimately did not pass. The SKIMS co-founder was shown having a meltdown, describing the preparation as "f**king exhausting" and lamenting physical and mental roadblocks, including throwing her back out.
"I just don’t think I’m the best test taker," Kim confessed in a separate interview segment. She expressed terror that "over six years" of study came down to one test, admitting the process was a "mindf**k."
Kourtney Kardashian's move away from Botox aligns with her increasingly public spiritual journey, which blends her Christian faith with practices like chakra work and seeking guidance from healers. Her choice highlights a growing trend of prioritising holistic wellness over conventional cosmetic enhancements.
