Kyla Kirkpatrick Reveals Secret 5-Month Romance with Eskimo Joe's Joel Quartermain
Kyla Kirkpatrick reveals romance with Eskimo Joe's Joel Quartermain

In an exclusive revelation, Kyla Kirkpatrick has confirmed she is in a new relationship with Joel Quartermain, the guitarist from the acclaimed Australian band Eskimo Joe. The 47-year-old reality television personality shared the news during a skincare launch event in Melbourne this week.

A Secret Romance Goes Public

The Real Housewives of Melbourne star, often dubbed the 'Champagne Dame', disclosed that she and Quartermain have been dating discreetly for the past five months. She made the announcement on Wednesday at The Royce hotel, where she was hosting an event for ROC skincare's new Derm Correxion Firming Serum Stick.

"I'm going to hard launch my new relationship tomorrow," Kirkpatrick stated. "We've been keeping that a secret. My boy plays in a band, so I'm going on tour with him to do some shows tomorrow. Joel Quartermain, he's in Eskimo Joe." She explained that after half a year of privacy, the couple mutually decided it was time to go public with their romance.

Moving On From Past Heartbreak

This new chapter follows a significant personal upheaval for Kirkpatrick. She confirmed her split from long-term fiancé and business partner, Kyriacos Christodoulou, in January 2022. The pair had been together for approximately eight years and share an 11-year-old daughter, Arlington-Rose.

Their planned 2020 wedding was postponed to address relationship difficulties, but they were ultimately unable to reconcile. Kirkpatrick described the split as a "tough" period, particularly navigating the complexities of remaining business partners post-breakup. Since then, she has been linked to Bachelor star Matt Agnew and hinted at a past fling with a high-profile woman.

Balancing Business, TV, and Love

Beyond her personal life, Kyla Kirkpatrick remains a formidable business figure. She is the CEO and founder of Emperor Champagne and the educational venture Champagne Dame, which requires her to spend summers working in Paris. This international commitment makes filming for television shows logistically challenging.

She teased to the Daily Mail that she is currently pondering an offer for another reality TV show, one that involves "a little bit of physicality," but has not yet agreed due to her busy schedule. Kirkpatrick rose to public fame when she joined the fifth season of Real Housewives of Melbourne in 2021.

Her latest venture is a partnership with French skincare brand ROC, aligning with her luxury and Champagne-focused brand identity. The launch party in Melbourne was also attended by fellow RHOM star Cherry Dipietrantonio and Golden Bachelor personality Bianca Dye.

As for her new beau, Joel Quartermain is preparing to tour nationally with Eskimo Joe to mark the 20th anniversary of their iconic Black Fingernails, Red Wine album, with Kirkpatrick now set to join him on the road.
