Lesley Ann Warren, the 79-year-old actress who rose to fame in the 1960s with her leading role in Disney's Cinderella, was spotted enjoying a rare outing in Beverly Hills over the weekend. The Hollywood veteran, who turns 80 in August, kept her look casual for the low-key stroll.
A Legacy of Iconic Roles
Warren's career began in the early 1960s when she received an uncredited role in The Chapman Report and appeared in an episode of The Doctors. She made her Broadway debut in 1963 in the musical 110 In The Shade. Just two years later, she played the titular role in the Rodgers and Hammerstein television movie Cinderella (1965), alongside Ginger Rogers, Walter Pidgeon, and Stuart Damon. Reflecting on the role, Warren told TV Insider: "It's almost more than I can completely take in because I was so young. I was 18. To have that opportunity and to fill it in the way I must have to affect so many people, it's so meaningful to me. I'm so proud of it. It never diminishes for me."
She continued her musical film streak with The Happiest Millionaire (1967) and The One And Only, Genuine, Original Family Band (1968).
Television Success and Award Recognition
Warren portrayed Dana in the CBS action drama Mission: Impossible from 1970 to 1971, earning a Golden Globe nomination. She received critical acclaim for her role in the NBC miniseries Harold Robbins' 79 Park Avenue, for which she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama. "There was so much turmoil and emotional ups and downs given what my character had to go through," she said. "Plus, I love period movies. I love getting to be in the 1930s and 1940s. It was my idea of heaven."
In 1982, she starred alongside Julie Andrews in the musical Victor/Victoria, earning Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actress. She later played Miss Scarlet in the cult classic Clue (1985), based on the board game. The film, which also starred Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, and Christopher Lloyd, initially underperformed at the box office but gained a devoted following over time. Warren told Forbes: "I always say that the advent of television is what pushed Clue into the minds and the hearts of people in a way that the movie, when it opened, didn't do, really. It had this cult momentum that was astounding."
Later Career and Recent Projects
Warren continued to appear in popular TV shows such as Will & Grace, Desperate Housewives, In Plain Sight, and Community. Her most recent roles include Home Delivery (2025) and the short film Olive (2025). She also has the upcoming thriller Shadow Watcher in the pipeline.
During her Beverly Hills outing, Warren wore a fuzzy cream-colored jacket, black and red-checkered trousers, comfy black sneakers, and a black cross-body bag. Her reddish hair was parted in the middle and flowed past her shoulders in light waves.
