Liam Gallagher's Deleted Post Sparks Oasis Knebworth Rumours

Liam Gallagher has sent Oasis fans into a frenzy after posting and quickly deleting a cryptic message on X, fuelling speculation that the band will play more shows in 2026, including a potential Knebworth gig.

The former Oasis frontman shared the Roman numerals “MMXXV11” on Monday night before swiftly removing it, according to a fan page. Fans interpreted this as a hint that a major announcement could come in November 2025, with artists typically confirming summer shows at that time.

Rumours have been rife that Liam and Noel Gallagher may perform at Knebworth next year, marking the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1996 shows at the Hertfordshire venue. The Sun reported last month that the brothers had been offered five huge shows at Knebworth House.

During Oasis’ final Wembley Stadium gig in London last weekend, Liam told the crowd: “Champagne Supernova. See you next year!” The band currently has no dates beyond their final reunion tour date in Brazil on November 23.

The Standard has contacted Oasis’ representative for comment. Fans have also speculated about a possible residency at the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City, or even a new album.
