Linda Robson Opens Up About Loneliness After Husband Split

Linda Robson has spoken candidly about the loneliness she has experienced since separating from her husband Mark Dunford after 33 years of marriage. The Loose Women star, 66, revealed on the Suddenly Single podcast that she struggles with the quietness of her home now that her children have moved out.

“Not having a house full of people,” Robson said. “No one really needs me anymore. The kids have all got partners. They’ve moved out.” The actress, best known for her role in Birds of a Feather, admitted she is not in a hurry to find love again and turned down a recent invitation for a drink, citing fear and self-consciousness about her appearance.

Robson also shared details about her ideal partner, emphasising a sense of humour and cleanliness. Reflecting on her marriage, she said: “The glue that kept us together was the kids. Once they moved out, there wasn’t much. I’ve been a good mum, a good wife – and now it’s my turn.”

The TV star has faced a difficult period, previously revealing battles with alcoholism and OCD that left her on suicide watch. She described getting sober as “the worst time” and said the guilt of her family caring for her during recovery still haunts her.

Despite the challenges, Robson insisted the split was not triggered by any dramatic event, noting that she and Dunford simply drifted apart. “I’ve been sad about it, of course I have,” she said. “But we had two lovely children together. Now, it’s me and Dolly the dog. I’m in a really good place. Work’s good.”
