Louise Redknapp enjoyed a rare weekend away with her youngest son, footballer Beau, 17, before his upcoming busy season. The singer, 51, posted photos on Instagram showing the pair smiling together, along with her dog Banksy.

In one image, Louise and Beau posed on a jetty, with Beau holding paddles before rowing a boat. Another snap showed Beau sunbathing. The caption read: 'A very rare mum and son weekend away with my boy @beau_redknapp before the next Football season begins… and of course Banksy wasn't letting us go anywhere without him.'

Louise on her sons' support
Earlier, on Sunday Brunch, Louise discussed how her sons Charley, 21, and Beau view her music career. She said: 'They take absolutely no notice of me. I am just their mum.' When asked if they are proud, she replied: 'I think so. My youngest yesterday… he ignored me like he does as my son. Then he texts me, 'Oh, can we go on holiday next week?' And I was like, 'I'm just about to go on stage.' He said, 'Oh, yeah, good luck. Kiss.' That's about as much support as I get. But secretly they're proud.'
Empty nest feelings
Louise admitted she misses her sons when they are away: 'I hate them not coming home. Mine are away a lot—football or work. I'm like, 'When are you coming home?' They're still there, but not as much as I like.'
