Married At First Sight's Bella Frizza Marries Sam Gibson
Married At First Sight veteran Bella Frizza has tied the knot with her real-life fiancé Sam Gibson earlier this month. The Sea FM Gold Coast radio presenter, 40, looked every inch the blushing bride in an intricately designed wedding gown as she married on Hamilton Island.
Nerves Melted Away
Bella told Daily Mail that her experience on series three of the Channel Nine dating experiment in 2016, in which she was paired with accessories designer Michael Hughes, prepared her for the experience. 'I started to get really nervous right before I walked down the aisle but it was strange why I felt like that because I had done it before on MAFS – and that was marrying a stranger – so it almost took me back to that moment,' Bella said. 'But the second I locked eyes with Sam, all the nerves melted away. I was just so happy to see him standing there. I was overjoyed.'
A Special Touch
The reality TV veteran added she was thrilled the magical day had gone according to plan – unlike her rocky time on MAFS. 'I had got our four-year-old to record a message to Sam before I walked down the aisle, saying how much he loved him, and how, "Mama is so excited to see you." This was one little moment that I was so proud to make happen,' she said. 'It was one of the most memorable parts of our wedding day. The people that were there really made it so special.'
From MAFS Shame to Fairytale
Bella was delighted to finally get her fairytale wedding after being cruelly shamed on MAFS in 2016 by co-star Craig Keller. During the shock incident, Bella was having dinner with her co-stars and discussing her dating history, when she began saying: 'I have been in a lot of relationships where...' In a shocking moment, co-star Craig Keller cut her off and cruelly jumped in with: 'You have. After sleeping with a guy after one day, I bet you have been in a lot of relationships.' However, Bella was having none of it and quickly called Craig out over his rude remark. 'Are you serious? I don't understand, are you f***ing serious right now?' Bella bluntly asked Craig. '[As serious] as a heart attack,' Craig responded.
Finding True Love
Although her MAFS relationship with Michael Hughes did not work out, Bella later found real love when she met Sam in 2020. She marked their one-year anniversary with a sweet social media tribute. 'Baby, I knew from the minute I met you that you were something special. You love me, support me, challenge me, keep me in line, make my lunch and dinners and so much more,' she wrote on Instagram. 'You make me wanna be a better person. Thank you for being the other half to my crazy, extra, pink world. Thank goodness our pets are in love too! LOVE YOU my huni.' The pair welcomed their son Finn Ryder Gibson in March 2022.
