Maya Jama's Girls' Night Out & The Gentlemen Series 2 News

Love Island presenter Maya Jama embraced the festive season this week with a glamorous girls' night out in London, just as she revealed exciting news about a major new acting role.

A Stylish Chelsea Dinner

On Wednesday evening, the 31-year-old television star was spotted in high spirits as she headed to The Ivy Chelsea Garden for a meal with her close friends. Maya made a striking entrance, showcasing her signature fashion flair. Her ensemble featured a chic black blouse paired with tweed wide-leg trousers, layered under a long wool coat to combat the winter chill.

She added bold finishing touches with a pair of clashing leopard-print boots and a metallic silver shoulder bag. Beaming for the cameras, the presenter appeared relaxed and happy as she walked to the renowned London restaurant with her pals.

Breaking News: A Role in The Gentlemen

The fun outing followed a significant career announcement from Maya. She confirmed to her followers that she will appear in the highly anticipated second series of the Netflix drama The Gentlemen.

Sharing the news on Instagram, she posted a snap of the poster from the show's first season, quickly clarifying: 'To be clear, that is not the new series, that is the old series poster. But I am in the new series a little bit, and I just went into an office to have a little meeting.'

Visibly thrilled, she added: 'I don't know when it's coming out though, so I can't give you any other information, but I'm so excited.'

What to Expect from Series Two

Maya's exciting casting news comes after lead star Theo James, who plays aristocrat Eddie Halstead, offered a sneak peek into the next instalment. Speaking to The Times, the 40-year-old actor hinted that the new season will expand on the success of the first.

'We've been trying to build on what we did in the first season, but make the world bigger, darker,' he said. 'It's still comedic, hopefully, but I think it's a little richer in terms of the story.'

The gangster show, created by Guy Ritchie, was a monumental hit for Netflix in 2024, amassing a staggering 44 million views in its first four weeks. Filming for the second series, which will see Hugh Bonneville join the cast, began in London in June and is set to land on the streaming platform in 2026.

The series also stars Vinnie Jones as Geoffrey Seacombe and Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass. With Maya Jama now confirmed for a cameo, anticipation for the show's return continues to build.
