Twenty years after the release of Nanny McPhee, the child actors who played the mischievous Brown children have taken diverse paths, from Hollywood stardom to quiet lives away from the spotlight. The film, released globally in January 2006, became a childhood classic, following a magical nanny caring for seven children after their mother's death.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who played eldest brother Simon, is now 35 and arguably the most famous of the cast. He went on to roles in Love Actually, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Game of Thrones, and The Maze Runner series. In June 2024, he married actress Talulah Riley, who was previously married to Elon Musk.
Eliza Bennett, who portrayed Tora, continued acting, playing a psychopath in Confine and Kate Anderson in F. More recently, she starred as Amanda Carrington in the Dynasty reboot (2021-2022) and appeared in the CBS drama Matlock in 2024. Jennifer Rae Daykin, who played book-loving Lily, now works as an operations manager at a VR company, enjoying Dungeons & Dragons and music festivals.
