Patsy Kensit is set to make a bombshell return to Emmerdale, reprising her role of Sadie King 20 years after she left the Dales. The 58-year-old actress caused a stir when she first arrived in Yorkshire in 2004, on the arm of on-screen husband Jimmy King, played by Nick Miles. Although she only appeared for two years, she made a lasting impression on fans and was nominated for most popular newcomer at the National Television Awards.
ITV bosses have now announced that she will be back with a bang later this year, but have stopped short of revealing what leads to her return. “I am really excited to return to Emmerdale,” Kensit said. “I treasure the years I was here before. Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing. The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it’s absolutely amazing.”
Producer Laura Shaw added: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village. Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie’s seductive demeanor, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.”
Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of one of the show's most memorable villains, and speculation is rife about what brings Sadie King back to Emmerdale after two decades away.
