Romeo Beckham turned heads this weekend by showcasing his heavily tattooed and muscular physique in a shirtless mirror selfie, shared via his Instagram Stories on Saturday.
The 22-year-old son of football legend David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham posed casually in his bathroom, gazing intently at his phone to capture the perfect shot. He completed his relaxed look with a pair of black BOSS underwear visible above his joggers and accessorised with several silver chains.
Family Festivities Overshadowed by Estrangement
Romeo's post comes at a sensitive time for the Beckham family, as the estrangement from his eldest brother, Brooklyn Beckham, continues to cast a shadow over their festive preparations. Despite the ongoing rift, the family's grandmother, Jackie Adams, is making a public plea for Brooklyn's return.
On Friday, Victoria Beckham shared a video on Instagram of her mother's Christmas display, which featured a poignant array of personalised stockings hung on the fireplace. Among them was a red stocking with Brooklyn's name, hanging alongside those for his siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, as well as his cousins.
Captioning the festive scene, the former Spice Girl wrote, 'So many grandchildren!'
A Grandmother's Plea and a Deepening Divide
According to family friends, both Victoria's mother, Jackie, and David's mother, Sandra, are 'very sad' about the schism that has left them unable to see Brooklyn, with whom they were once exceptionally close. A source revealed, 'It’s Jackie and Sandra who everyone feels so sorry for... They adore Brooklyn, they were so, so close to him.'
The source added that while David and Victoria are 'making peace with not having Brooklyn around,' the grandmothers are struggling with the separation, especially given their advanced ages and the uncertainty of when they might see him next.
Brooklyn, 24, has been conspicuously absent from every major family event this year, including his father's 50th birthday celebration and his recent investiture at Windsor Castle. He is expected to remain in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, over the Christmas period.
The divide was further emphasised when it emerged that both grandmothers were 'very surprised' to learn that Brooklyn and Nicola had renewed their wedding vows earlier this year without informing them. The couple was also absent from the London premiere of Victoria's Netflix docuseries in October.
Despite the tension, Jackie Adams has attempted to maintain a connection, recently commenting on one of Brooklyn's cooking tutorials with the message: 'That looks amazing Brooklyn. Lots of love.'
