Hollywood icon Russell Crowe is set to play the role of generous gift-giver this festive season, after being photographed overseeing the loading of a private jet stacked with luxury presents.
A Private Departure Packed with Presents
The 61-year-old Australian actor was seen at Sydney Airport on Tuesday evening, preparing to depart with his partner, Britney Theriot, 42. The couple were assisted by airport staff who wheeled not one, but two trolleys overflowing with neatly wrapped boxes and designer shopping bags towards the waiting aircraft.
Crowe took a hands-on approach to the festive logistics, actively helping to unload a pile of gifts from a car and stacking them for loading. The haul of holiday bounty included multiple bags from upmarket department store David Jones, alongside distinctive boxes from luxury brands Prada, Jo Malone, and SMEG.
Casual Style for a Christmas Mission
Dressed for comfort on the evening flight, Crowe sported a black Ralph Lauren polo shirt paired with black jeans. He styled his grey hair back and wore a pair of smart glasses as he directed operations on the tarmac.
His partner, Britney Theriot, also opted for an all-black, comfortable outfit, her hair in a low bun. She carried a Christian Dior handbag and a gift bag in one hand, while taking charge of the couple's dog, Ezekiel, with the other.
Friendly Exes and a Recent Reunion
The festive airport sighting came shortly after Crowe shared the stage with his ex-wife, Danielle Spencer, 56. The former couple, who split in 2012 after nine years of marriage, performed together at a one-off music gig at Sydney's Enmore Theatre.
Spencer appeared as a guest performer with Crowe's band, Indoor Garden Party, singing a solo set to promote her new single, 'Regenerate'. Crowe later fronted the band, taking lead vocals and guitar during a gospel-and rock-inspired set.
In a recent podcast interview, Spencer spoke candidly about the guilt she felt following their 2018 divorce, stating it felt like she was 'fracturing the family'. However, she emphasised the split was necessary and that they now maintain a strong friendship while co-parenting their two sons, Charlie, 22, and Tennyson, 19.
After ensuring his mountain of luxury gifts was securely loaded, Russell Crowe was finally seen boarding the private jet, undoubtedly set to make friends and family members very happy indeed this Christmas.
