Anthony Head, the beloved actor known for his roles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Ted Lasso, has died at the age of 72 from complications due to pneumonia. His death comes just months after the sudden passing of his long-term partner, Sarah Fisher, who died on January 1 at age 61.
The couple's daughters, Emily and Daisy, confirmed Fisher's death in a Facebook post, describing it as "immensely shocking" and noting that it came with "very little warning." They wrote, "No words could ever express all that she encompassed, or begin to describe the crater her absence has left."
Head and Fisher met in the early 1980s backstage at the National Theatre in London, where Head was performing in a production of Danton's Death. Fisher, an animal therapist, ran Tilley Farm in Bath, a sanctuary for rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. Despite being together from 1982 until her death, the couple never married, as Fisher was not interested, according to Head.
The couple had two daughters, Emily and Daisy, both of whom became actresses. Head often spoke fondly of his family, telling the Daily Telegraph in 2018, "I just can't imagine my life without Sarah. And I definitely wouldn't want to."
