With Christmas fast approaching, Sue Radford, the matriarch of Britain's largest family, has given fans a glimpse into the mammoth task of feeding her household during the festive season.
The Festive Feast for a Family of 24
Sue and Noel Radford, parents to 22 children, are preparing to host the entire clan for Christmas dinner. This includes their daughter Chloe, her partner Jake, and their two-year-old, Mila. In a clip from the latest series of Channel 5's 22 Kids and Counting, Sue embarked on a monumental shop at her local Asda in Morecambe.
The trolley was piled high with festive essentials. Sue revealed the staggering quantities required, starting with 60 pigs in blankets. She then moved on to vegetables, picking up 3kg of Brussels sprouts – which she admits to hating – alongside 4kg of carrots and 7.5kg of potatoes.
A Trolley Loaded for Christmas
The centrepiece of the meal will be two large turkeys. But no British Christmas dinner is complete without Yorkshire puddings, and Sue is taking no chances. "Think I’ll probably try and get about 60 Yorkshires," she said while in the freezer aisle, highlighting the sheer scale of catering for her family.
Fans reacting on social media were stunned by the scale of the shop. One person commented it would be their "worst nightmare" to cook that much, while another simply wrote, "So much food." The Radfords first allowed cameras into their home in 2012 and have remained on-screen favourites ever since.
Life Beyond the Christmas Shop
The food shop isn't the only update from the Radford household. In October, Sue and Noel introduced a new member to the family: a cream long-haired miniature Dachshund named Mavie. The dog joins their existing pack, which includes a border collie and several other Dachshunds and French bulldogs.
The latest series of 22 Kids and Counting aired on Channel 5 earlier this year, continuing to document the chaotic and heartwarming life of the UK's most famous super-sized family.
