Jennifer Meyer, the heavily pregnant ex-wife of actor Tobey Maguire, has announced she is finally about to give birth on Tuesday after going a week past her due date. The 49-year-old jewelry designer, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Geoff Ogunlesi, 34, shared a candid snapshot from what appeared to be a clinic, captioned: 'We are readyyyyy.'
In the photo, Meyer displayed her baby bump in a crop top as she relaxed on a sofa ahead of the arrival of her third child, a daughter. She already shares two teenagers, Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17, with the Spider-Man star. Meyer was seen stepping out with her children on Monday in Los Angeles in exclusive photos obtained by The Daily Mail.
Her reported due date had been 'right around Mother's Day' on May 10. Meyer and Ogunlesi made their relationship red-carpet official in November 2023 at the Baby2Baby Gala, and they became engaged the following year.
She was previously married to Maguire, whom she wed in 2007, nearly a year after welcoming Ruby and four years after their first meeting in 2003 during the production of Maguire's racehorse drama Seabiscuit. Otis followed in 2009, but Meyer and the 50-year-old actor announced their separation in 2016, with Meyer filing for divorce in 2020. Despite the split, the exes have remained close friends and committed co-parents, with their divorce finalized later that year.
Ogunlesi's father is Adebayo Ogunlesi, a prominent attorney and investment banker who is the son of Nigeria's first professor of medicine. The elder Ogunlesi has a net worth estimated at $2.6 billion by Forbes. Meyer's fiancé is a graduate of Amherst College and founder and CEO of the Ogunlesi Group, a music management company.
Meyer also hails from a prominent family. She is the daughter of Ronald Meyer, 81, a former NBC executive and COO and president of Universal Studios, who later became vice chairman of NBCUniversal. He co-founded the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and is currently CEO of Wild Bunch, a film distribution company that has distributed multiple Best Picture Oscar winners.
Earlier this month, Meyer spoke with People about the exciting new chapter in her life. 'Geoff loves him and he loves Geoff,' she said about the relationship between her fiancé and ex-husband. 'I really don't mean to sound lame or anything, but I'm feeling like I'm just having a fairytale experience in my [whole] life right now. It's like all my wishes are coming true. And so I feel really grateful and lucky and just excited for all these new chapters.'
Meyer, who announced her pregnancy in December, described a childlike sense of anticipation. 'I kind of feel like a little kid – I know my parents bought me my dream gift, so I'm just waiting.' She also discussed the 'whole new world' of being an older pregnant woman. 'I was so much younger when I did it with my first two kids, and I was the first of my friends [to get pregnant] pretty much. So it was a different mentality. And now I know everything and what to expect.'
She conceded that pregnancy at 49 is 'more exhausting' than her previous experiences but called it 'an awesome pregnancy.' She also revealed the joy of sharing the news with her fiancé. 'To get to be able to do it again at this point in my life with this person that I love so much. It was really cool.' However, she noted she is now more cautious. 'I'm not 25, so it's like, "Oh my God, I'm pregnant,"' Meyer added.
