Former Tracy Beaker actress Chelsie Padley has given birth to her first child, a baby girl named Goldie. The 31-year-old, who played Louise Govern in the popular CBBC series, announced the news on social media.
Padley and her partner Iain George revealed that their daughter arrived on Tuesday, August 15, weighing 6lbs 12oz. The actress shared a photo of baby Goldie in a cot beside a 'Hello world' sign.
In a subsequent update, Padley disclosed that Goldie had jaundice but was receiving treatment. She wrote: 'Mummy will tell you the wild and wonderful story of how I decided to enter this world soon but right now she’s super busy feeding me yummy milk very often so I can get rid of this jaundice stufffff.'
The couple announced their pregnancy earlier this year with a video showing Padley's emotional reaction to a positive test, followed by her telling George and later her parents. The video ended with a card indicating the baby was due in September.
Fellow Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer was among those to congratulate the couple, writing: 'oh I’m so so so happy for you both.'
